If you thought this a "springtime photo" you would be mistaken. It's what I would have guessed if I were to see it. I planted these iris last fall, 2007. Back then I didn't understand the importance of keeping good notes on the various cultivars I was putting in the ground. I had 12 different tubers, no green, nothing blooming, so no color to go by, each tuber a different cultivar. Now I'm wishing I knew WHICH variety of iris this is because it's the only one that is blooming this autumn. Oh well, it's blooming and after a couple of years I'll be able to divide it and spread it around!
